What’s for lunch?

(and, yes. I did attempt to color coordinate the food with his plate.)
I don’t really know what the normal consumption for 5 month old baby is. Obviously it probably has more to do with their size than their age. But here is a typical lunch for Holden. I normally just choose 1 veggie for him. But I only had 1 ice cube of green peas left that I wanted to finish off and I knew that wouldn’t cut it. So today we began like normal with 7 ounces of formula. Then it was on to the green peas, sweet potato and apple. And after he finished all of this I actually gave him some peaches because he was still acting hungry. I mean, I’m not trying to make my child another statistic in the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. ;) He tight lips it when he is full (that is our communication method for now). And so until I get a tight lip from him, I keep feeding. He is just a growing boy!
And the damage is done . . .

Holy cow that's the cutest "full tummy" pictures I've seen! I could eat him up! No worries! I thought the same about my boys, they were huge and to look at them now, you'd never know. He's probably just packing it on for after 9-12 months when they really do slow down their eating and speed up their activity! Have fun with it now and I love that you make homemade food! I did too with Cooper! We need to have you all over!

okay..I'm interested in the homemade baby food. Do you just food process it then freeze in ice cube trays? I bought a magic bullet to zip up food when Jordan was smaller, but I have never frozen it before.

He is a hungry boy! And no, Jeff didn't remind me to mention that, but it does sound like something he would do. That made me laugh!

What a fun plate for mealtime. Do you use a book or website to make his food. I know I've asked before but I can't remember. You should do a post on how to make baby food b/c I'm interested in doing this for Kate

Wade doesn't like his baby food, so I started making it. He is eating much better now. (of course nobody would guess that he isn't a good eater!) I am going to call you because I have some questions! Cute, cute pictures!!
