i heart my church.

For many reasons I love our new church. We spent a good 8 months or so visiting churches wanting to find the right place. 8 months or so of weekly discussions between Jeremy and I and some select people in our lives discussing what was best for our family. Well, now we've found a church and we are in the process of joining and really plugging in to find our place of connection and service. And each Sunday I am reminded of what is happening here and around the world because of this place. And I leave that building with a joyful heart of what is taking place through the many willing hands, compassionate people and strong voices. I've never been part of something so radical and so meaningful. Today my heart felt more joy as I saw what Holden made during his Sunday class. The project today was about the family and random family photos were pasted onto the construction paper. Nothing big and most parents probably thought nothing of it. But look at Holden's:
I imagine that every child's picture looked different today. But I know that some sweet teacher made sure that when he/she chose pictures for todays little project, she found a family picture that looked similar to Holden's family. Which probably took her a tad bit more time and effort. But that touched my heart down deep. It stung my eyes with tears to see the effort. I didn't pass by it lightly. And Jeremy's response was "cool". Which, I know, that means it touched his heart deeply also. We are appreciative. And we really do love our amazing church!

We're so glad you're at Northwood too!! That is pretty awesome about his teachers too. Holden was extremely cute today. Every time I walked by his room, he would get my attention and start a "conversation" with me. i felt special =)

We love it too!! So happy to have met you two and your precious kids! Looking forward to many more lunch dates!

Ps I think we were meant to be friends. Our blog headers have the same tree. My blog isn't nearly what yours is, but I hope to one day document the growth of our family:)
