POOL is OPEN!

Our little neighborhood pool finally opened last week, while we were all out of town. So we took our first dip yesterday afternoon, once Jeremy was home. It was wonderful in this Oklahoma heat! And I have a feeling we will be walking down to the pool several times a week. Holden loved it! So that’s reason enough for me.

What fun!

I've been thinking of contacting you for a few weeks now but just haven't really had the time. (Of course, it's after 2 a.m. right now!)

Auntie E's younger sister (Alexis) is living in OK, and she is unexpectedly pregnant with #3. Auntie E has talked to her about adoption, but she's still pretty early in the pregnancy. (My guess is that she's due around Christmas, but that's assuming she knows approx. how far long she actually is.)

I don't think that abortion has every really been an option, but I don't know that for sure. Auntie E is very opposed to abortion, so I think she would have mentioned it if her sister were considering it.

At this point, the main think is to pray for Alexis and for Auntie E as she talks to her. Ideally, Auntie E would like her to move up here, but who knows if that'll happen.

If (and that's a huge if) she does choose adoption, I'd love to have the baby (although we are paying for two adoptions already!), but I have no idea if she'd be willing to do a long distance adoption.

From what I understand, her biggest fear is what if the family she chooses ended up being a bad one.
I immediately thought of you and your contacts in the area and suspected that we could probably match her up with a good family if that's what she ends up choosing.

Again, these are all huge ifs, but they sure got my heart stirring when Auntie E told me about it. Thanks for praying, and I'll keep you posted!
