I can't complain too much about the ice and snow when the below freezing temps keeps our food nice and cool/frozen.
This morning as I opened the freezer I noticed our food was beginning to dethaw. Uh oh. Not a good way to start the day. Then I opened the refridgerator and noticed it was not very cold. Apparently our refridgerator/freezer is broken. So this morning, Jeremy and I unloaded the freezer and fridge and he got it organized in the backyard. All frozen things went directly onto the ice. While most of the refridgerator things went into the cooler and then placed outside. Originally, he had our milk about 10 feet from the front door. And that just wasn't going to cut it for our milk guzzling boys. So he conveniently move it right outside the front door. It's all very classy, I know. The boxed wine is even more classy. ;) I think Jeremy will be playing refridgerator repairman this weekend. Not fun. And not on the original agenda. But such is life.

I had to laugh.....not at the broken freezer but at putting food outside in the snow.
I hope your freezer is an easy fix...meaning not expensive.
I know that you are (or were) a runner. I am curious...do you have any advise to a want-to-be runner, such as how to get started?
Oh no Melodie! Yes thankful it's cold.
Ours did that not too long ago, and my husband took the panel off in the back of the freezer. He defrosted all the coils, vaccumed out the vent in the back, and it has worked fine ever since then. I had a friend whose did the same thing, and that fixed it. Hopefully yours will be that simple.
By the way, I am so glad you put the adoption blogs back on your site. I have missed them. You know I'm a blog stalker...ha ha :o)
Those pictures are really something! I didn't know you had snow up there already. We are still waiting. And then when I saw you putting the entire contents on your yard, I was worried that you were out of power, causing the fridge/freezer to be out. I'm so glad that's not the case and you have heat, but I'm sorry about the broken fridge. :o/ Hopefully Jeremy can figure it out! We used a website called Repair Clinic.com to fix our dryer once.
sorry your frig is broken but thank goodness for freezing temps right?
HAHA! I sooo love the box wine out sitting out in the snow. I've been wishing that I had some of that stuff while we've been stuck inside.
As if the snow doesn't make things hard enough, sorry you have to deal with a fridge on the fritz.
And by the way, I can't believe how big your boys are getting- I love the pic of them in the wagon on the homepage. Such handsome little guys!!
That's one way to get things out and really see what you have in the freezer. I'm actually afraid to dig too deep into mine!! When life throws you lemons....put the food outside in the snow!! :-P
